We undertake the design of home extensions, loft conversion, garage conversion and preparation of CAD drawing for planning permission and building regulations.

We offer a friendly professional service backed up with 25 years experience in the building industry enabling us to meet all your needs. As Local builders we are constantly working with local building authorities and know what they expect from us, this makes the planning process a lot smoother.

Initial Consultation, Free No Obligation

At this stage we listen to you initial ideas and requirements and then discuss the most suitable cost effective extension for you and your property. We offer advise on the likelihood of approval from the local planning office.

Survey & Design

The next step is for us to survey you home and produce drawings of what exists, this then becomes the basis for the design of your new extension.

We then prepare further drawings of your proposed extension, based upon your ideas and requirements, and present them to you for your approval. This is your chance to discuss any alterations to the drawings.

Submit Application

ATJ Building & Groundworks then submit the drawings to the local authority for planning permission and building regulation approval, this usually takes between 8 and 12 weeks. If any amendments are required we will discuss this and make any necessary changes for you and re-submit on your behalf.

Application Approval 

Once planning permission is approved we will present you with 3 copies of the final drawings (planning permission and building regulation approved).

Building Works Quote

We are also happy to provide you with a competitive quote and undertake the work for your project.  Whatever the size or scope of the project you can be assured that you will have a full time project manager / supervisor on site at all times and work will be undertaken by a highly skilled and experienced work force. All our tradesmen and appointed contractors are fully qualified or NICEIC, Gas Safe approved.  If you do decide to accept ATJ Building & Groundworks quote to undertake your new build, extension or loft conversion, we don’t charge for the design service.

Single storey - £450.00
Two storey - £600.00
Loft conversion - £600.00

Planning Application Fee (Householder appplication) - £150.00
Building Regulations Fee’s depend on the size and type of work undertaken.
